The Texas Department of Public Safety License to Carry Proficiency Demonstration is designed to assess the applicant’s skill in safely handling and shooting a handgun. Applicants may use any type and caliber of handgun.
Requirements:
Fire 50 rounds at a B-27 target (45″ high x 24″ wide)
Must be able to stand with firearm aimed at target for duration of qualification
Score a minimum of 175/250 points (70% required to pass)
Twenty shots – 3 yard line:

Scoring:
8, 9, 10, and X rings = 5 points 7 ring = 4 points on target, outside of rings = 3 points Outside of outer ring/off paper = 0 points
